Profile of the Governing Council Chairman
Dr Remigius Obinatu, MBBS, PGDM, MPH, MWACP
The Chairman of CiSHAN Governing Council has been a Public Health Practitioner with over 15 years field experience in HIV/AIDS, Maternal and Child Health, including Family Planning, Malaria and TB control. He has proven technical leadership, mentoring skills and exceptional problem solving abilities as well as ability to facilitate sustainable participation of marginalized groups in local development initiatives using the right based mechanisms especially in HIV/AIDS response in Nigeria. Dr. Obinatu has also been successful in the civil society for HIV/AIDS from being a state coordinator to Zonal Coordinator from where he rose to the position of CiSHAN Governing Council Chairman.

Achievements
- Training of representatives of BoT, GC, CCEs, CBO's and National Office management team on resource mobilization/proposal development and advocacy
- We have mobilized over 20,000 clients on the HBC project.
- CiSHAN has successfully passed through change process facilitated by Management Science for Health (MSH) with support from U.S Agency for International Development (USAID).
- Been successfully playing a leading role in the Constituency Coordinating Entities (CCEs).
